Our Kids for Christ gathering is a safe, non-competitive place where kids enjoy music, imagination, creativity, discovery, story, play, creating things with their hands, and friendship all in a loving Christian environment where kids are seen to bear the image of the God who created them. Needless to say, this is a very popular and growing group in our community. The KFC group also includes a children's bell choir that performs in church worship and community events. KFC meets every Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:30 during the school year. All kids are invited.

MISSION

Here are some ways we are striving to be a mission-shaped congregation:
  • Regular support of missionaries currently include:
Anchor Christian Counseling, Gideons, Moses International, Heaven's Helpers Soup Kitchen, New Hope Uganda and Sakakawea Hospice.
  • Annual Mission Fest
Held in October where we raise awareness and financial support for local and global mission.
  • Sending of short-term mission teams from our congregation
We have sent youth teams to inner city missions, and have invested greatly in sending adults to Uganda to work with New Hope Uganda.
  • Mission Scholarship
We have established a scholarship fund to help encourage members of our church to go on a short term missions of compassion.
  • Operation Christmas Child
We participate with the Operation Christmas Child ministry.
  • Blanket Sunday
A special Sunday where we raise support and awareness of the practical needs in developing nations: the need of blankets, shovels, tools, etc.
  • Knife River Care Center (Beulah)
We provide a worship service and communion for the residents of this assisted living facility. Many of these residents are unable to attend church, so we bring church to them (and the gospel) while celebrating communion. Our services are on the 1st Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
  • Kids for Christ
An after children's group for children K-6th. We have many kids who attend who are not a part of our church. The group is open to all. The purpose of the group is to teach the basic truths of Christianity and creationism to gradeschool children.
  • Every Member Mission
The most comprehensive mission we have is the everyday life of each of our members.
  • Mission Moments
We prayerfully and financially support missions (globally, nationally and locally). At least once a month, we commit to pray for different mission and missionaries and invite them to share about their ministry and how we may partner alongside them (physically, spiritually and financially) as part of the worship service.
