WHO WE ARE
Beulah Congregational Church is a historic church in Beulah, ND (founded in 1917) and belongs to the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. We are a diverse congregation of all ages, from many different backgrounds, and from several different towns, but we find unity in our common faith in Jesus Christ. Visit www.ccccusa.com for more information on who we are.
We are a reformational and evangelical church. The Congregational churches trace our roots back to the English Reformation. We uphold key reformational beliefs such as the inspiration and authority of the Bible, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, God is a Trinity--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ has two natures--human and divine, and the need to spread the gospel of Christ throughout the world. We believe the Ten Commandments are God's moral standard for mankind, that the Lord's Prayer is a reliable guide to personal and corporate prayer, and that the Apostle's Creed is a faithful summary of essential Christian beliefs. As a Congregational church, we emphasize the whole people of God rather than systems of heirarchy and beauracracy (such as bishops, synods, and presbyteries). We observe two sacraments--Holy Baptism (including infant baptism) and Holy Communion. We believe marriage is between one man and one woman for life, that life is sacred from conception, and that God created all things including mankind. We are a neighborhood church. Located just off Main Street in the heart of residential Beulah, we strive to share the love of Christ with those in our own backyard as well as around the world. Many of our actvities have a local flavor - our after school children's club, our outreach to a neighboring assisted living facility and nursing home, and our involvement in local charities like Hospice, Women's Action Resource Center, and local disaster and relief efforts, all of which help us to demonstrate the love of Christ to our neighbors. We are a family church. We believe the family is the heart of human life as God has created it. We believe that children and youth are gifts from God. Therefore our congregation seeks to nurture the Christian faith of whole families. Our worship is inter-generational, we have an active Sunday School for all ages, and educational opportunities for men, women, youth, and children.
